Bare
Silence
She was still; alone
Staring at the unknown; silent.
She felt the breeze
Caressing all around her
She sat on a lonely chair
Thinking as she always did.
She is a victim of her own silence
Too loud to hear her thoughts
Too soft to understand them
She sat in the coldness of the room
Too empty to feel her presence
Too full to hear her own heart beat.
She remembered
Kissing his luscious lips
Embracing his evanescent soul
She remembered.
Yet she was no longer there
Neither was he.
She waited; still
Wanting to meet him again
Yet his memory was now vague.
Oh! How long she waited
The dust now started to settle
Creating of that room
And old, antique haven.
But she remembered,
Waited, always still
Looking out that window
The same way he left her
Naked, yet full of hope.
