Black Rose

She sits at her mirror brushing her hair, dressed in black velvet with just the right flair. She pits on her make up with ever an ease, ready for the night, ready to please. She picks up her flower and closes the door, its sunset this evening, who could ask for more? She walks through the tall grass with a graceful pose, she bends down to lay her perfect black rose. She wipes the tears that fill up her eyes and visions of the past marquee the skies. He was her love, her dream come true, but God said," now I have to take him from you". She wanders back home and enters the door, pictures of him scattered all over the floor. Upstairs she ascends ready to sleep, with visions of him she begins to weep. She lays on the bed, not a sound to be heard, she whispers "I love you" but he never utters a word.

WAITING

The air is crisp, the stars are bright, waiting for you tonight.
A love song in the air, a serenade for two, glasses of wine, a dinner for you.
I gaze at your photo, thinking of you, my heart is all a flutter, will our dreams all come true?
I hear your footsteps, I smell your cologne, be mine forever, I hate to be alone.
You kiss me tenderly and gaze into my eyes, I feel your presence, I am mesmerized.
You bid me farewell, I say goodbye, your silhouette disappears, I begin to cry.
Is this a dream, as I look up to the sky, two hearts beat as one....lets give it a try.
 give it a try.

PURPLE DREAM...A Farewell...

The front gates before me, as I stand in awe, saying GOODBYE was the only flaw.
I will never again gaze upon  the great tower, the fountain court and smell the sweet rain shower.
The once grand staircase, now dilapidated and old, boasts royalty dressed in jewels and gold.
As I behold the grounds of bowling green, with its majestic views, can only be seen.
Under purple skies, she stands yet so tall, with crumbled stone walls from many a fall.
In all her glory, she's still my dream, as if Camelot life was only a scheme.
To say FAREWELL, my castle of dreams, where fantasies entwined my mind, so it seems.
I will always remember these magical times and yet relive with all its medieval crimes.
Today the crowd of visitors , such a hassle....as I turned.... and said goodbye, Raglan Castle.

MORNING GLORY

It is early morning sunrise,
awaken and look out my window towards the sky, envision your face beneath the soft billowy clouds.
I imagine what it is like to be in heaven among the angels.
Towers of gold, the morning glories always in bloom,
 love fills the air.
I so often wish that you were still with me,
knowing that you are in God's hands is quite a comfort.
I think about your smiling face,
your pale blue eyes , your heart so full of love.
You had made such an impact on the lives you have touched.
Your legacy will be remembered in all aspects of my life.
So with this thought,
I give to you,
I am proud to have called you "MOM".
