JOURNEY OF LIFE

In this journey called life
I've had my share of pain
I've had the sun on my face,
the wind and the rain.
Each storm took its toll
but I knew from the start,
I'd fight discouragement
with all of my heart.
There were times I succeeded
and times that I lost,
A price sometimes paid
at a very high cost.
When innocence was taken,
it left me in despair
Tears to fill an ocean
life was so unfair.
I could wallow in self pity
or raise my head high,
find reasons to live
or reasons to die.
You then walked into my life
and set my spirit free,
opened my eyes to accept love
and all I could be.
I can climb any mountain,
shake discouragement too.
For in this journey called life,
I was loved by you.
